Vespa 946 Emporio Armani with New “Dresses”
Emporio Armani will be accompanied by a capsule collection of gray-green and signed for men and women. As the Vespa model 946 is the top of the Vespa range, a flagship leading to end the image of glamor and exclusivity that comes from signing veteran classic scooters. Now, coinciding with the 130th anniversary of the Piaggio Group and the 40th anniversary of Emporio Armani comes a special edition Vespa 946 Emporio Armani. It will be available in June at a price to be determined, although around 10,000 euros.
The decor is what changes in this special edition, a combination of dark gray and green that change color depending on light exposure. The metal parts are galvanized and have a satin finish, giving it a particular characteristic opaque effect. The Vespa 946 Emporio Armani also shows logos ‘Emporio Armani’ on the side panels and the eagle logo on the fashion front optics. The seat is removable seater brown leather, so it relies on the Vespa 946 version Bellissima.
No dynamic changes
No changes in the dynamic part, which still has aluminum cylinder engine of 125 cc air-cooled, 12-inch wheels, disc brakes 220 mm, ABS + ASR traction control, instrumentation LCD or connection to smartphones among others. Vespa 946 more ‘posh’ yet.
Two symbols of Made in Italy celebrate their anniversaries 40 years of work for Armani, 130 for the Piaggio Group launching the new “Vespa 946 Emporio Armani”. Vespa 946 in the name commemorates the birth year 1946 the famous scooter in the world, and its lines reinterpreted in a contemporary style original.
For color, however, Armani has designed a special palette of gray with a touch of green just mentioned, only visible under certain light conditions. The metal parts, made of galvanizing satin, give a matte effect, in line with the finish of the bodywork. The written Emporio Armani is located on the side, while the logo with the eagle moves over the headlight.
Technologically it is explained that the engine blocks of aluminum, brown leather trim, accessories dedicated high end, the electronic management in support of the guide including through dialogue with the latest release of Internet devices join the four-stroke engine injection electronics, designed for maximum fuel efficiency and emissions. The double disc brake 220 mm, the braking system ABS dual-channel and large 12-inch wheels provide maximum safety while driving.
Vespa 946 Emporio Armani will be built in an exclusive numbered edition, on sale this month.
