The BMW Motorcycle branch, also record year for 2014. With more than 120,000 scooters and motorcycles sold part of world, the Bavarian firm is more than ever a mark on which we can count.
With more than 120,000 motorcycles sold in the world, BMW Motorrad is part of the major manufacturers of the market. If you need to focus only on the French market, BMW did also a record year with 11 638 registered motorcycles. It is 12.8 per cent more than in 2013, 10 315 motorcycles sold.
With its 14.4 percent of progression in the segment of motorcycles over 500cc – + 1% from 2013 – BMW Motorrad reached for the first time to the second place in this market very competitive. In France, BMW can boast of being at the top of categories Trails 1st sales : R1200GS, 2nd: R1200GS Adventure, sports S1000RR, but also road (R1200RT)! Finally, the scooter BMW C-Evolution has meanwhile sold for 228 units since its launch in mid-year.
Serge Naudin, Chairman of the Board of BMW Group France: in 2014, BMW Group recorded solid results on the french market, with an increase of sales and its product mix in a stable market. The year 2015 will benefit our brands of the arrival of many new models and technological innovations, which should enable us to continue our progress and consolidate the leadership of BMW Group on the french Premium segment.
